Well actually it’s more like getting smashed by the waves. Despite an intimate meeting between my belly and the reef floor, I was happy with my first foray into shooting waves from in/under the water.
Living in the city it’s quite easy to forget how close the rolling hills of the country side are. The three images in this entry were all found within 30 minutes and an hour of Brisbane.
During the month of September, the Brisbane Festival is held in, well, Brisbane of course.
This festival attempts to show art has no boundaries. The two most popular events during the festival are Riverfire, and for the first time this year, the Santos City of Lights. For 10 minutes, the skyline of Brisbane erupts into a light and laser show choreographed to a dramatic musical score.
I mentioned this on the last ‘Blast from the Past’ post, but if you read this post first you’ll have no idea what these are, so I thought it best to repeat it here.
I’ve found some of my old work from back in 2005 and 2006 when I just started taking photos. Most of these were taken with my first digital SLR, a Nikon D70s. I thought I’d share some of these images on here for a bit of a laugh. As landscapes are my passion, I really do hope I’ve developed from these first attempts.
